a place good enough is a short observational documentary focusing on Northern Europe's highest lying mountain village, Skåbu. Shot entirely on super 16mm film, the piece explores the simple, quiet life that exists high up in the Norwegian mountains.

Directed/Produced/Edited by Emilie Norenberg
Cinematography by Sirus f Gahan
Sound by Oliver Gale

The film received a honorable mention at the "Best Norwegian Short Doc" competition at Bergen International Film Festival in 2015.

"A honorable mention goes to a film that we couldn't quite grasp — although in a good way. It’s a film that gets surprisingly close to its characters without compromising and while staying true to its style of distant observation. It’s an original and strange portrait of a little piece of Norway" the jury said.
